 Troubleshooting wireless network
when my Wi-Fi is not working my windows shows me a option for troubleshoot. in that i have seen that troubleshooting actually reset the network adapter.can u pl tel me what actually does that means in technical sense.

When Windows resets you network adapter it simply does the following Releases your IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway then through the process of DHCP negotiation it tries to acquire a new valid IP address thus getting you back on the network. You can do the same thing manually by opening a command prompt and typing Ipconfig /release <b>then press enter</b> Then type in Ipconfig /renew <b>and press enter</b> after that type in ipconfig and your output should have an IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway Hope this answers your question Shane.
