Hi. I have done CCNA studies 1 & 2 for the last 2 years. I found doing Cisco very interesting and i really want to further my studies to where I am dreaming to become.i am working as an export officer in the company so with the love of doing networking i always try to do what i still remember from my Cisco studies practically to our computers like connecting internet, restoring lost data in the computer and trying to ping computers. Please tell me how to set up the computer in a small network area so that we can send message to one another thats if an extension line is busy so message can just pop up from the side of the screen...it will be easier to communicate rather than waiting for the extension line free.

Since most computer should now have the windows service “Messenger” disabled, you would not be able to launch command by default. You can look into installing an internal chat program which you can simply google and use corporate messaging program.

Here’s an open source one:

To use the NET SEND command the messenger service needs to be enabled on the machines.
