Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think it would be dependent upon what you are working with. As I know we will be obtaining our own server soon, I am going back to school so I can get my CCNA.

The best institutes for networking are dependent upon whether you are seeking network security, physical implementation, or protocol. I would suggest finding something local to you as it would probably be more cost effective. After meeting with the education personnel at my school and finding them and their course sound, I moved to enroll there.

Good luck

I would most definitely say that networking and administration is one of the most useful skills for a qualified IT employee. As far as where to go about getting networking certifications, I am not sure, but you probably want to look into Microsoft's and CompTIA's. Hope this helps! -Schmidtw

If I didn't understand networking concepts and TCP/IP in depth I can confidently say that I wouldn't be able to accomplish half of what I do. There's nothing wrong with being self-taught. TCP/IP For Dummies is a great start.
