I am serving as a system admin for an organization. We have ISA 2004 network, with Exchange 2003 Standard edition server, 2 Microsoft SQL server 2005 Standard edition for database projects, Windows 2003 domain controller in two sites A and B using active directory services. These two sites are VPN tunneled between ISA 2004 Enterprise Edition and SonicWall Tz170. We at Site A have 2 MBPS 1:1 T1 internet connection in our site. Sometime back, we had applied for one more internet connection of speed 2 MBPS 1:4 Broadband from some other provider. After much research , we had opted and ordered for PEPLINK 300 router to support load balancing and failover of internet between Cisco 1700 series Router, Peplink 300 Router and ISA 2004 enterprise edition server with two NIC cards of which one is configured externally and the other internally. But to our dismay, after introducing Peplink 300 router, internet became slow at times and many users started complaining about slow speeds. So I disconnected the other internet line keeping aside PEPLINK router 300. Our mail system is configured in such a way that it happens through VPN connectionbetween our two sites.
As a system admin, I have given the task of residning the entire network of whatever be the upgradations. Our main task is to have
1.) Good Internet speeds from more than one providers to have load balancing and failover capabilities so that our network is always hokked to net.
2.) Good VPN speeds between two locations.
3.) Good Email System and Communication.
4.) Site to site interconnectivity to access the Remote systems through RDP, FTP etc.,
I just know about the requirement to redesign using the above parameters.
