Q:
Network drops connection
We run Windows Server 2003. In a computer lab of 16 computers, I have one computer that will connect to the network and I can see the network files for about 2 seconds then it drops the connection. Other computers in the lab connect fine. This lab has been up and running since August, 2007. This problem started last week. What do I check or change?

I would start with checking the cable, NIC, after the connection drops does it come back up, when the you lose connection to the shared files do you also loose connection to the Internet?

Hope this helps.

What happens if you plug in a known working computer into the same cable? Does it do the same thing?
