 Network Controller
Recently while troubleshooting my wireless card, I deleted my Network Controller from my laptop and now cannot re-install it. I did so by going into Device Manager and removing it from the list. I've tried updating the driver by allowing XP to search online, find automatically and by putting in the Windows CD but nothing works. I'm using a Linksys WPC54G v3 network adapter. I've gone to the website and downloaded the latest drivers but still nothing. I am using a Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop running windows XP.

Answer Wiki:
power off the unit, disconnect the device, power on the unit. power down the unit, replace the device, run new hardware wizard or open device manager and look for a question mark or new device, then reinstall the drivers. Hope this helps. -Schmidtw
