need to take ownership of a folder

hi all, i'm using win xp sp1. not conected to any domain. i need to take ownership of some folders in my HD which created by one EX user. i tryd @ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421/en-us but in my system when i take property tab there is no Security tab . do any body can help me in this ? thanx in advance

Open explorer> click on Tools>folder Options> select the view tab.
Look for a “Use simple file sharing (recommended)” option >make sure is uncheck and try again

    If you have administrative rights to the computer, and don't know that user's password, change it ... log in as the user and change the properties of the files.
