Set it up to not connect to a Domino server . Hope that the DB is not encrypted and / or has enforce consistant ACL enabled….If the above is OK you should access the DB that is stored locally to your machine. If it is encrypted you will need your old ID … simple file > security > switch ID and then browese to it will work…If enforce consistant ACL is on and you are not in the ACL specifically then the best way around this is to install a TEMP Domino server and place the DB on this. Then use the server to break the Enforced ACL.
