hi iam new here and i have some questions to all of you who is working on RAID. 1. i have x3400 IBM SERVER and it has 2 disk with 74 GB each while installing with server cd the only availabel option raid 1 i selected that and after that i install w2k3 server standard editions now i want to make it mirror set but the mirror tab is highlighted how can i make the mirror set or the hard is not showing i have to use some PARTION MAGIC SOFTWARE TO RETRIVE other harddisk or it wll display in disk management. 2.if the operating system goes failure then how can i break the mirror and continues work witout lose data on other HDD too. 3.if we create RAID 5 one HDD failure then we can swap the HDD. unfortunately 2 HDD failure or OS failure (even if we repair through the OS CD what hpen to other application which are run normally as earlier or do i install again that application as we know in XP when repairing we use the same folder for installation but rest of the application we have to install again due to delete of the windows folder) can we recover data from each single HDD as we do in normal desktop PC's to put HDD in another system n browse failure HDD and recover data in that is it possible for SCSI HDD .
