 need to change password of router
Netgear router, Router password
my wouter has 6 character password. my iphone doesn't take less than 8 character. I need to change the password of my netgear router

Open an Internet Explorer browser and type the router IP address which would be either http://192.168.0.1, http://192.168.1.1, or http://10.0.0.1 in the address bar and press Enter. The Login window will prompt for the router configuration username and password. The default username is “admin” and the default password is “password” or "1234", or use your password. In there you will see the menus click on wireless settings, then scroll down and from the center screen, select your encryption type from under the Security Options heading and change your wireless passphrase/password. Note: If you are connected via wireless you may lose your connection and will need to reconnect. It is highly recommended that you make this change from a hardwired PC/laptop connection.

More or less rules r same for almost all routers. To change any of router pass, 1st of all it need access to the router’s control panel by browsing its IP add. See while ur router has the IP add displayed on the router outside surface. If not, it is needed to read the docs / contact the manufacturer for these details. OR by the way u can try to get it by typing ipconfig/all command from cmd / command prompt. The add is shown against default gateway should be the IP add of the router (generally it is 192.168.0.1 may be). The default pass is password or 1234 (if not changed earlier). From the left-hand navigation menu of the Router Manager, u can change the pass.
