Need Domino web service (lotus script agent) that can create group documents in the names.nsf. This webservice will be consumed by cics, .net, etc. We are running Domino 8.0.1 server and clients. Would like documentation on creating this webservice if it is possibel to do this.

Software/Hardware used:
Domino 8.0.1 running on zlinux

Yes it is possible.

But you will have to furnish data to the web services in order to create the groups (Name, Type, Administrators, et then populate them).

Open your Public Adress Book in the Notes Designer and you will see a design structure named “Web Services”
You can write here your WS with LS or Java.
You have a sbutton to generate the WSDL file in order to integrate with your consumer clients.

The end point URL to consume will be something like

http://YourServer/Names.NSF/YourWebServiceName?OpenWebService
