Lotus Domino Agent
This is the first lotus agent I am building. I am a little lost on how to create this one. I have a database that collects information on a website my company hosts. The database contains all the requests, questions, and errors generated on the server. I was asked to make an agent that will automatically delete the all the error documents in the All Errors by Date view (the database was designed to be similar to admin4.nsf on view titles) on a schedule. I am really lost on how to build this agent would like some help. Thanks

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

This is a sample start for your agent in LotusScript – See the admin help file to schedule it
It’s nearly the same with the java class.

Dim session As new NotesSession
Dim db as NotesDatabase
Dim view as NotesView
Dim colentry as NotesViewEntryCollection

Set db = session.CurrentDatabase
set view = db.GetView( “YourViewName”) ‘ <= you have to change that !
Set colentry = view.AllEntries
Call colentry.RemoveAll( True )

I strongly recommend you get training. TLCC.com is a good place to start. IBM Tutorials may also have an intro to Notes development that would show how to create a simple agent such as this. Finally, I would recommend using an @Formula agent instead for this simple requirement. Look in designer help a @DeleteDocument.

Yep Brooklynegg is right ! I use LS so often that i forget that Notes have @Formulas ! Which are powerful too (and faster than LS). What i have to say for my side, is that i hate to maintain complex formulas code ... If you see what i mean ;-)
