Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Nowlcy,

There could be many reasons the job didn’t run.
Locate your job via WRKJOBSCDE.
Issue a 5 to display the details and see what “Last attempted submission” shows.
Issue an 8 to view last submission.
Also review your Scheduled date, time, frequency, Next Submit Date…etc.

Go to the job scheduler and take option 2=Change against the entry. When the entry is prompted, press <F14=Command string>. Copy/paste the command string back here. And press <F3> to back out of the change to the entry. When we see what the entry looks like in the job scheduler, we might see why it didn't run. Tom

Commands registeret 'in the jobscheduler' (via ADDJOBSCDE or WRKJOBSCD) are started by the never ending program QEZSCNEP, which is normally started at IPL. The QEZSCNEP program runs in subsystem QCTL. Check that you have this program running, - use WRKACTJOB and look for 'PGM-QEZSCNEP' in the Function column (green-screen). If you cannot find it, it is propably not started by the IPL-procedure QSTRUP. Reference IBM Technical Document DanF

Dan, try this: Click on the 'link' button, then in the popup window write the URL and click Ok, then write some 'friendly' text for your link, and then press the 'link' button again.

it is propably not started by the IPL-procedure QSTRUP For clarification -- The default job scheduler job is QSYSSCD, and the program that should be running in that job is QEZSCNEP. However, it is not started by the QSTRUPPGM startup program. The reference in the Support document is to the startup of Cleanup, i.e., the STRCLNUP command. The job scheduler starts by a separate process outside of the QSTRUPPGM program. Tom
