 Nagios Notification Escalation Options

Hello,

 

I've recently configured Nagios to monitor our network devices.  There are a few devices, such as a switch in the server room, that upon failure, would cripple other network devices.  Is there a way that I can disable the notifications on all devices if the one server switch fails so that I don't have hundreds of texts being sent to my phone?

 

Any ideas welcome!
