Hi their name is Kevin lane and I would like to ask you if you know how to resolve a problem I have. Now I have installed windows 2003 server with all patches and also exchange 2003 the server is acting as a member server only not a DC. now when I first installed exchange all was ok but I found out that it was conflicting with a dns record we have with a different mail server so I rename the server which I thought would be ok but as this was my first time well?.it broke so what I did was because it was just a member server (like as if it was just a normal comp that was added to the domain) I pulled the server out and reformatted the server. Now I have put everything back on the server but now in the first administrative group its still has the old server the (the one prev) on the same server there is no other exchange server in the whole domain. I would be very grateful if you could give me some advise on how to resolve this problem I have scowed the net but haven?t really found anything and MS just want money for support which I think is unfair as its one of their products Any how thank you for your time Kevin lane

Try this article:

It tells you how to remove the first Exchange server from the site, which is what you are trying to do.
