 My New Telephone Project

Hello Dear Friends, I am student of computer science here in pakistan. I am starting a project related to computer interfacing. i want to control home appliances through telephone, but i cann't decide where to start. can any friend like you help me in this regard?. I shall be thankful to all.

Not so simple. Every device you wan to contol has to have an interface to a controller. Every controller has to interface to a computer. The computer has to have a dial in connection. All require LOTS of work.
