My Lexmark scans great.

My problem with Windows Picture Media it takes over. My Lexmark knows it is a document I change it from picture to document. Great but the Windows on my computer takes over and I can't save it under DocXs or Doc. HELP!

    Have you tried 1.-right clicking on the file. -Select "open with" -Then go to "choose default program" -find program in the recommended programs or Browse for it. -- make sure you click on "always user the selected program to open this kind of file" if you always want those types of scans to open like that. 2. -right click on the scanned file -Choose "Open with" - find program in the recommended programs or Browse for it Some file give you different of the 2 options. 3. Load the file into Adobe Pro (if you have the program real expensive) and run the recognize text option.

    "I change it from picture to document", attention here, how do u change either by any converter or just rename the file extension..... what extension it has, like .jpg/.gif/ .png/ .bmp or any other. have u tried to open the changed pic file in another software.....
