Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

It sounds like you may have set up the second computer to download your email to a pst, pulling it off the server. In that case it would no longer be viewable from the original computer. Is this an exchange account or some other email system account?

exchange 2003, mail client = outlook 2003

If you are using Exchange and outlook, you can import your pst’s and turn off the download ( probably archiving).

Make sure you don’t have a rule that deletes the message.

If you go into your Internet Email Settings through your email Account, Advanced tab, under the Delivery heading - you can put a check mark in the box to "Leave a copy of messages on the server". If all computers are set this way, you will have full access to your messages no matter if you are online or at a different computer. Also, you can change the second computer back to a direct connect exchange account. Close outlook, go to the control panel, change it to classic view and open the mail con. Click show profiles, add a new profile as an exchange account, choose that new profile for the "always open with this profile". Open outlook, then go to file - open -outlook data file. Select the .pst and it will open on your folder list. You can then move (select all, right-click and choose "move", move back to exchange account profile) all the mail out of the pst back into your exchange account so you can again view it from both computers.
