I have over 5000 msp files in my c:windowsinstaller folder. These occupy 48 GB on my hard disk. Can I delete these files?

    Those files contain the information on all the Patches that Windows has installed to your system.  If you delete them then newer patches mail fail to install, because the newer patches may look to the older patches to see information about the system.  Also those MSP files contain information to allow rollback to remove patches.  They also can contain the MSI files for install information.  If you delete those files, you may cause your system to have serious issues.
