 MSDE for adminDB
Ever since I installed Diskeeper Administrator 2009 on my PC (it runs XP Pro, svc pk 3), every time I print something, I get some "MSDE for AdminDB" pop-up that says "Setup has detected that your current SA password is set to blank. Please use sp_password to set a strong SA password and restart setup or set BLANKSAPWD=1 to ignore this vulnerablility. Refer to readme for more details. Setup will now exit." Then when I click the OK button I get another pop-up that says "Please wait while Windows configures MSDE for AdminDB." Then I have to click the Cancel button several times to make this all go away. I told the techs at Diskeeper about this but they weren't able to solve it. I've since uninstalled Diskeeper Administrator on my PC but I still have this problem. Can anyone figure this out? (I don't know anything about MS SQL Server or SA passwords, etc).

Answer Wiki:
If Diskeeper is trying to install MSDE then you'll need to have them correct the installer so that it doesn't cause the problem.

Go to your Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and then uninstall Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (AdminDB).

I don’t think Diskeeper uses MSDE. I don’t recall MSDE or SQL Server Express as a prerequisite for that program when I’ve used it in the past.
