I suggest that you download DHCP Discovery and run this tool and confirm that there is no other DHCP server running on your network. DHCP Discovery
SBS 2003 wants to be the only DHCP server on your network and to properly setup the SBS 2003, use the wizards for proper installation. There are many places on the internet for specific help with SBS.

Thanks a lot for your help guyz.
I have it sorted out.
i enabled the second NIC on the server and used that one as the NIC for internet connection and the other one for Server-client communication.
Through the wizard, I was able to configure the Exchange server too, Now it pulls mails from the webmail and the pop3 connector delivers to outlook.
But am still having a problem sending out mails as i can’t open Exchange Server 5.5. It comes with an error message anytime i try to open it.
What else can i do?
There’s this MAPI3***.dll file it’s complaining about. i can’t remember what the error code is.
Please i need help fast.

have you did the SP2 updates to the server. if so remove and add the updates that sp2 puts on one by one there is a patch that mess the DHCP and DNS functions up. ran into this while setting up a small business server for a client. and this seemed to fix it But Yes SBS 2003 likes to be in controll but you can setup a network using the router as your DHCP with this OP Ya just got to watch the service Packs.

Please clarify your problem as SBS 2003 does not have Exchange 5.5 but rather Exchange 2003.

@ Dwiee
It’s funny though. But on my own version of SBS 2003.
I have Exchange 2003 and Exchange 5.5 is included in the program list wen you go to Exchange from the Programs menu.
I am so confused guyz.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Exchange 2003, but the problem is still there?
