First the the machine is an XP Pro SP3, with MS Office 2003 SP3. The problem is the file converter pack for office 2007 file extensions does not work. I have all the patches for both XP and Office, uninstalled then reinstalled the converter pack, still no luck. I have also disabled any plugins in office, and any Active X that was not signed by MS. I have not reinstalled the Office suite yet or tried to repair it either. The machine is free of spyware and viruses, but did find some questionable active x's but disabled them any ideas other than a total reformatt??

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I would certainly try a re-install or repair of the office suite first before doing a re-install. Also give MS a call for support. Are there any errors in the event logs? If so, please post them. Thanks.

I could not find any events in error logs? The repair also did not work, I uninstalled and reinstalled office with no luck either. Total reformatt was needed. I'm sure it was the questionable active x, not sure how this corrupted Office but it did, it was an IE active x but I could not verify the publisher, I think it had something to do with downloading coupons over the internet. This was only user out of 60 that this happened to. Thanks for your help. When in doubt reformatt lol.
