 Microsoft Office 2003 and Vista part two

As part 2 to my question on how to install MS Office when I've got Vista on the laptop, at first try, it came up saying that it had to locate Windows XP or Windows 2000 before it could run MS Office on the laptop and it then came up with other errors and would not install from my CDs. Could you advise why it won't install?

Check the CD's for scratches and damages. Are these new cd's? I believe you can request a cd replacement if a new cd turns out to be corrupted or damaged. You wouldn't be the first person to get one.

That is a strange error. Are the CDs from Microsoft or is it branded Dell or another vendor? OEM built CDs usually only work on the OS and hardware that they are sent with. Where are you getting your CDs from?
