MS Exchange Registry Fix to add disclaimer to all outgoing email
I have heard that there is a registry hack that can be used to add a disclaimer to all outgoing email via MS Exchange 2003 server. I have used google to try and find this hack but have not been successful in my search. Is there such a thing or would this be the holy grail that I am seeking? CliveSRT

Holy Grail. That was a 5.5 thing. For 2k and 2k3 you will have to use an add-on or possibly your AV to accomplish this.

There is no reg hack that’s going to make a nice disclaimer. It’s a VB script.

You’re better off getting a product like Exclaimer, GFI or policy patrol email disclaimer to add a disclaimer. The basic VBS is well, basic.

Most companies don’t want multiple disclaimers (eg thread reply chains will have 10 copies of the same disclaimer on the bottom) so these products can prevent this.

They typically cost $150+ for ten users and scale up from there.

We have puremessage but it appears to be adding the disclaimer on all replying emails and not on the initially created one. It used to work but now it appears to be flakey at best.

Thanks for all your answers.

We have disclaimer template on a word file held in the general folder of the document server.
As each user is set up on the system, the disclaimer template is added to their profile as a signature (in outlook)
We have 11 companies using the exchange server, so we have a disclaimer for each, with their own company name mentioned.

You will need Exchange SDK
and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317680

I am very happy with the way it works.

Do let me know if you need step by step documentation.
