When I move an email from my sent folder to another folder, the message stays in the sent folder. It is notated that it is in the other folder. Also if I try deleting it from my sent folder it also gets deleted from the other folder. Is there anyway I change this so it no longer appears in my sent folder? OR is there a way to delete it from my sent folder without it being deleted from my other folder also?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The first question would be, which software are you using.  With that
said, most email software allows you to highlight the emails in question
and you can click and drag them to the folder that you desire, thus
moving them from the sent folder.  Here is another question, are you
trying to move them to a .pst folder. like in Outlook?  If so, then this
is quite an easy operation with the click and drag.  Once you move it,
it should no longer be in the sent folder.  So, please let us know what
is the email software that you are using.  Thanks.

Is there an option to 'Copy' to another folder instead of 'Move'? By moving out of the Sent folder, you are breaking an audit trail of what was sent. The product probably keeps the audit trail intact by putting a pointer into the other folder when you move. That's why deleting the Sent item also deletes the moved item. But if you can make a copy, it might allow you delete the original while keeping a copy. (This probably should not be done.) -- Tom
