 Moving Active Directory settings
Active Directory 2003, HP Proliant dl360 g8, Window 2003 Server, Window Server 2008
Guys, Can someone briefly explain the steps on: How to move active directory setting from Win 2003 to a new Server(new machine) to Windows Server 2008 r2?? I'm new to AD, but i know there is way you can do it. So far, i just installed Win2k8 r2 standard on the new server along with 1 role: Active Directory Domain Services..can someone explain the steps for this process pls? I really appreciate it. Thanks!

The new server has to become a domain controller in the domain (start/run DCPROMO /ADV) and then you have to seize roles and move the DNS zones
