I am using Windows XP Version 5.1, Service Pack 2 and MS Office 2003 SP3.
On Some Sharepoint sites, when I open an MS Excel document, it opens in read only mode. I mapped the network drive and opened from there, but was still opening in read only mode.
Other Office documents like, word, Powerpoint are working fine. i.e. when opened asks for checkout.
I asked my friend to test that on his machine, He had, Windows Server 2003, MS Office 2007 Installed on his machine, and it worked fine for him.
Need some assistance regarding this issue.
