As a periodic assessment of the performance of our iSeries server, I would like to track memory (RAM) usage. How can I go about this? I have used Navigator for disk, CPU etc but cannot find anything for RAM. Thanks Tom

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Hi,

The i-Series doesn’t use RAM (main storage) in the same way as a PC – it’s a completely different concept.

You can get some idea of what’s going on with memory if you monitor the “Machine pool faults”, “User pool faults(maximum)” and “User pool faults(average)”.

Regards,

Martin Gilbert.
