Note that if the interfaces were previously supported, then IBM supplied alternatives to them in V6R1 that should work just as good. I haven't seen any that were supported and closed but without a new alternative.

Note that if "new security features in 6.1 prevent the program from working", then it possibly should not be used on a production system -- unless the vendor can describe the interfaces used and you can verify that they are interfaces supported by IBM. Installing software that uses unsupported interfaces on your employer's system is risky to your career.

Of you are running V5R4 or earlier, I recommend Remote View. The View Remote Terminal command retrieves the contents of a remote screen and displays it on the local screen. Screens can be selected
by device or user, and via generic names. This command runs from an AS/400 command line. It is a great support tool. It comes with a second command which allows you to change data on the screen you are viewing. It has saved us tons of time and travel.

According to the vendor, new security features in 6.1 prevent the program from working. Until you make that move, its a wonderful tool.
