Modular vs traditional UPS design

Data Center, UPS, modular, APC

We are planning to build a 3500 sq foot data center. One of the options we're looking at is building out the data center in 3 stages, using APC modular UPS and Liebert modular cooling (in addition to the usual CRAC).

We're not concerned about the modular cooling, as we know we'll need to due the high denisty of many of the racks that will be in this data centre.

The concern from my techncial team is about using APC's modular UPS solution (80 kw each) rather than a traditional 2X500 Kw Liebert UPS design.

Does anyone have any experience with the newer modular UPS implementations?
