I gave the ip address which was given in Default Gateway.

What was the IP address for? Why did you put it into your "Default Gateway"? You shouldn't do anything to your default gateway for Mocha.

Or are you saying that you used your default address as the host address for Mocha?

What option should i give in Use SSL encryption,Verify Server SSL certificate. Any steps on how to configure the TN5250.

You need to ask your AS/400 administrator. The administrator is the only one who knows what to use for those.

error cpf1120- user xxxxx does not exist.
i give the correct user id and password

If you get CPF1120 with that appropriate text, then you are reaching some AS/400 and the user profile that you entered does not exist on that AS/400.

There's no way for us to tell if you're reaching the correct AS/400.

...to add a comment to a discussion...

That's hard to tell. This site seems to have multiple personalities, and it can be difficult to determine what's appropriate.

From the FAQ for this site:

How to answer a question with the Answer Wiki
When creating this site we felt the best way for people to receive the best answer was through collaboration. By creating the Answer Wiki, we are providing users with the ability to create, edit or improve any answer on the site.

From that, the site is not for simple "discussion". It is intended as a long-term repository of answers that can be searched by people in the future. Those who search won't care if an original question was two years old nor will they care if comments are two years old or two days old. They will care only that an answer works for them.

If a "discussion" from two years ago is incomplete, there is no reason that it shouldn't be completed today.

Also, somebody today might find the thread in a search and see that the thread has no useful information for them, but they might ask for details if they see that others are still interested. If threads are simply left to die, the eventual result is searches that return far more useless hits than good answers. And loss of interest follows after that.

I'd like the site provide more clarification in the FAQ about suggested usage. In the absence of that, members are more or less free to post in any way they choose.

I agree with Gilly's recommendation. It sounds like a keyboard mapping issue.
Also try the very right enter key that's grouped in with your 10 key functions. That key is usually mapped as a true enter key with most emulators.
