Hi,
After trying a restructuring of my entiretir network,i had to demote my windows XP computers from and NT Domain to and Active Directory 2003 domain, i lost my PST files in outlook 2000.Actually,i demoted the xp computers to a workgroup the promoted them to an Active directory domain.
Now hen i log in i can't seem to find any of these PST files as i am prompted to set up my email all over. However, i am using a different loging account. But still, when i log in as an administrator i can't find these PST files especially when i try to search using the *.pst in the search bar.
I really need this done before i get fired tomorrow at work. For all my users will not find it funny.
Thanx in advance

First SHOW HIDDEN FILES & FOLDERS in Tools-Folder Options of My Computers. Just check in the profile of your users. The .pst files resides on the local computers. e.g
C:\Documents and Settings\user profile\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
You won’t be able to see these folders without the appropriate rights to them. They will not be visible to non-authorized accounts.
To re-establish or establish for the first time mail accounts with your exchange server, you will have to do so under aministrative rights of the computer by using the control panel, instead of doing it top level down through outlook. Doing is this way should provide a little bit more insight into the permissions aspect.
