Missing Personal Folders
i have a weird issue. user cannot find all of her email that she moved to personal folder. What she is been doing is open the email and then click on an icon called moved to and then select personal folders. I cannot find it anywhere on her pc where that .pst folder is located. She has one that i found, but it only have emails uptil 05/2009 and anything after that is going into a personal folders that i cannot locate or if it is hidden i cannot find. I searched the entire hard drive including hidden files and folder and nothing. Any help with this would be appreciated.

I don't know if it is a bug or a feature, but it also happens in 2007. You can move items directly to the "Personal Folders" folder, but I didn't find a way to view those items that are moved directly to that folder and not to a sub-folder.

Try this:

-From the Find bar open the "Advanced find" tool.
-Click on the "browse" button
-Select "Personal Folders" (make sure no other folder is selected) and uncheck the "Search subfolders" checkbox.
-Don't add any other search condition
-Click on the "Find Now" button.

If you find those mails, move them to some sub-folder, and tell the user not to move mails to "Personal Folders" again...

just to clarify more on my original posted question

If she uses the menus to “move mail to…”, the folder is listed there. If she selects it, the email she’s moving disappears from the Inbox, so it’s going somewhere. I cannot find it.

For goofy behavior like this I’ve used Sysinternal Process Monitor to see what’s being opened and done on the machine in real time.
