Is there a way to put the inbox that was downloaded from OWA to outlook on the desktop back into OWA?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

First of all, check your email account setting to see what server type you’ve selected (Mail item in Control Panel). Or you can go to Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder to see if any pst files are there (If you see pst file, your email account’s server type was not set to Exchange).

If your email account’s server type was not set to Exchange, all email will be downloaded to Outlook’s pst file and deleted from server (so you cannot see them in OWA). In that case, go to Mail item in Control Panel, create another profile and set this new account’s server type to Exchange (and choose to always use this new profile). After that, open Outlook and choose menu File | Import and Export to import existing pst file (in Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder). Now you can logon to OWA and see your old emails.

If your email account’s server type already set to Exchange, then emails you can not see in OWA have been archieved. To see them again in OWA, just open Outlook and drag-and-drop them from archieved personal folders to corresponding folder in server.

I have a similar problem, but I have discovered that we were using local profiles instead of roaming profiles. When I follow the path of Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder I see the outlook files stored locally. I know its a weird question, but I do see that with it setup this way our company Iphones and OWA doesn`t work properly unless outlook is open on our desktops. How do I redirect the outlook files to be stored on the server or where ever they need to be to correct this problem? Thanks for the help.
