we lost all emails from feb 28 & 29 from the inbox, but not from the rest of the folders (sent items, deleted, notes, etc...). We are using Exchange 2007. can anyone help? has anyone had the same problem?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I have seen this when an overzealous administrator starts playing around with archiving. But I would need more information to diagnose your specific issue. Is this happening all across your exchange server? For one or more users? How are they connecting to the server?

Have you tried restoring the messages from backup?

Can you provide more information? Are you using message archiving or retention periods? Is there anyone else experiencing this error other than this one user? Did the messages get delivered and they are now gone or did no messages get delivered during that day?
