Misc User Files Appearing in Other Users Folders.

Good afternoon all! I have been having an issue at my school district where users files have been mysteriously appearing in other users folders. The 1st would be does anyone have access to this users folder and the answer is no just the user and admins. This started happening this school year and nothing has changed config wise since last year. We do redirect our user's My Documents to the users Home Directory on our server. It almost seems like when a user logs off some of their files are staying in the My Documents folder and the next time somebody logins into that particular system it copies the remaining file/folder to that users Home Directory. I have not been able to pinpoint which system or systems maybe doing it. So figured I would go a differant route and ask other people in the industry if they have ever come across this. Any info would of great help! Thanks Ed Roche Network Admin Solanco School District

Our Domain Controllers are are Win 2003 with latest SP and updates. Our Storage server is also Win2003Our workstations are a mix of Win 2000 and XP all with latest SP and updates. We use GP from the server for Windows Updates, Time Server, Screen Saver Time Out and to Redirect the User's My Documents to their Home Directory. Anything else you were looking for? Ed

I am having the exact same problem. It started within the last seven days. The topology is SBS 2003 Standard. Windows XP workstations. My Documents are redirected to Home folders. Home folders are synchronized. Using Symantec Corporate Security 10.1. The only unusual event during this time period is one workstation infected with a Trojan. Trojan resulted after a user install Limewire. V~

I am having the same problem. We do not have any trojans or spyware. And I have pin pointed atleast 2 machines that are having the symptoms, what is causing it is unexplainable. There appears to be no link to the two users.
