Hi, I would like to create a DR site linking 2 EMC arrays with mirrorview asynchronous. The production is based on Oracle 9i. I am looking for explanation and documentation about how it works with Oracle 9i to restart easily at the remote site after a crash of the production site, in terms of integrity and coherence of the database. Should the database be opened on the remote site and how to just consult the database ? I would also like to know the best way to connect the 2 sites (10Mbps). Thanks/Regards Consty

Software/Hardware used:
EMC CLARIION CX3-40 MIRRORVIEW

What's the peak amount of IO bandwidth going to the disk on your Oracle Server? Do you have enough bandwidth to support the replication?

Hi, Thanks for your answer. How can I measure the peak amount of IO bandwidth going to the disk on my oracle server ? In the meantime, the system generates 4Gb of data maximul every hour. The bandwidth between the 2 sites is 10 Mbps. Regards Consty
