Exchange 2003
Hi , I am new to Exchange 2003 server management. Currently all users been limited to 60MB quota and now they want me to increase their size simply. But in order to do so, is there any facts to consider before i change the quota size to 80MB for example. HDD space is 30GB but still available 19GB. So any advice? Thank you v.much :)

There are no hidden disk costs in upgrading the quota but, Before i can say JUST DO IT! I need to know how many users you have to see the impact that upgrading the quotas will have. With hard drive space being as cheap as it is today I would suggest getting a new separate drive/array for users mailboxes. 500GB drives are relatively cheap or you could go for a raid1 configuration and get two mirrored 250gb drives for redundancy.

Hi, Thanks for your advice. We have 250 user as a whole. Will If increase to 80MB will get Mail Server slow down? Accroding to server spec, we cannot add in additional HDD. So I am just worrying about server spec minimum requirement or any necessary stuff to find out. Rgds,
