What method is used to re-synchronize a Logical File in MIMIX V7.1

Answer Wiki

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Only Physical files contain data, Logical files do not. They are only an access path. So you only need to keep the PF data in sync.
Now, if you are asking about what happens when you create or change a LF on the Source system, you will need to mack the same change on the target system.

Thanks Charlie and yes I understand the LF concept quite well, however in MIMIX you can still be replicating a LF along with the PF and what is the correct repair, course of action if only the LF is in Error and out of synch from the Audit with errors on *MAXRCDL and *RCDFMT?

If the PF is defined to MIMIX and the LF library is defined as well, then the logical file will automatically be replicated and added to MIMIX.  If you want to synchronize the LF for some reason, you can do a WRKDGFE and put in the LF name and press Enter.  You can then put a 16 next to it to synchronize the LF.

If the Synch doesn't work because of record length or some other reason, Delete the LF on the target system and then rerun the synch.  The synch of an LF shouldn't take long because it does not contain the actual data.
