 MiMiX Replication
MiMix replication between Production and Disaster Recovery Server is very slow, what are the parameters that decide the rate of transfer of packets between these servers. Is at Network level or at MiMix settings.

Don't know about the MIMIIX server but check for the NIC card speed and duplex ,and if possible check the errors and utilizatio on the WAN link connected to the production and DR. As well any traffic policy or QOS applied for that server.

what is your line speed for ur mimix between ur production and dr site? is it running at full duplex at your routers?

The experience we have on mimix replication before was also slow since our network bandwidth is only 10MBPS. But when management decided to purchase a product from Riverbed called Network Optimizer, this really improved mimix replication by 85%. This product is really effective. You can recommend this to your boss if you plan to improve the speed of your mimix replication but the product is quite expensive, here in the philippines, the unit server cost Php 2.5M per unit.

maybe you can use a network monitoring tool to actually see if your network is being maximize…
