what is your line speed for ur mimix between ur production and dr site? is it running at full duplex at your routers?
The experience we have on mimix replication before was also slow since our network bandwidth is only 10MBPS. But when management decided to purchase a product from Riverbed called Network Optimizer, this really improved mimix replication by 85%. This product is really effective. You can recommend this to your boss if you plan to improve the speed of your mimix replication but the product is quite expensive, here in the philippines, the unit server cost Php 2.5M per unit.
i agree with Danmd5syster, if you can afford get riverbed, but it will cost u quite a bomb.
we are using 10MBPS link between production and DR site. It is running at full duplex at routers.
are there alot of files being moved across the network?
maybe you can use a network monitoring tool to actually see if your network is being maximize…
is there a firewall or ips or other equipment before it heads out?
