I just recently did the same thing but because of time, I actually upgraded MIMX from V4R4 to V5.0 and then upgraded the production source side to V5R4 first. This caused some issues when the Infinium upgrade went in the next weekend because the V5R4 compiled programs would not restore on the V5R3 target. It was a timing issue that we knew would happen and once I got the target up to V5R4 then the programs went over fine.

This happened 2 years ago when we went from V5R2 to V5R3 as well due to Infinium not letting it;s customers know in advance that the yearend payroll upgrade would require the next OS upgrade in order to install it until late.

Also, please make sure you have the recommended PTFs loaded and applied for V5R4 from the MIMIX website or you could have issues with some processes not working.

The PTFs to be concerned about are type 1000 PTFs that are not included in an Cumulative package. I know that with the latest PTF package we just applied there are about 3 or 4 additional PTFs.
