we are a server 2003 based domain with about 150 clients all running win xp. there is a intranet website in this domain, built with sharpoint and having lots of rules and restrictions based on active directory OUs and Groups. we need to migrate and become an OU in a server 2008 based domain in a separate forest. we cannot have the website pulled down even for a day. suggested solution is to use ADMT and migrate the clients, keeping old servers running. on the browser type the old website address and login with old domain authentication. which ADMT should i use to migrate win xp clients? is there any other better method? pls advice...

Why don’t you look at vmware and vmware convertor. You can download the free esxi3 and install on a box. Then use the vmware convertor to convert your physical machine to a virtual. Then take the phyical server offine and boot the virtual and do whatever you need to do on the physical server offline?

Or you could just perfom what you are proposing out of hours? Remmeber to takew full backups before you commence work tho!
