 Migrating BrightStore to a virtual machine

We are running BrightStore for backup purposes and currently it is hosted on its own server. What is necessary to migrate it to a VM? The VM will need to have access to the SCSI controller card for it needs to access the LTO3 tape drive that is connected to it.

As the VM would need access to the SCSI card to access the tape drives it probably isn't a good candidate for virtualization.

The above is good advice.

It can work, but the hardware system level has to have a SCSI controller driver that supports SCSI Pass Through which is certified for VM.
