Are you looking to restore a SQL back-up to the i-Series directly ?

The one way I have used in the past is to use Microsoft SQL Server to export the tables(files) into a .CSV file format.  Open .CSV with Excel and save this as a .XLS file format.  Then by using the Excel Add-in "Transfer data to System i" you can upload the table data to the IBM i.  To get the matching layout take the layout defined in Microsoft SQL and convert this to the IBM I.  You may have to convert your Excel spreadsheet to handled NULL values as a second tabbed spreadsheet.

Time consuming but it will get the job done.
