The error message tells you your problem:

"c;\users\donna\documents\002.jpg".file may be in use by another app or fileformat not supp by any of the installed converters, or file may be corrupt.

The file type of the document you are trying to open in a JPG or a picture file. Pictures can be inserted into a word document but not just opened by Word. I hope that does not sound confusing to you! Long story short -

This is not your resume in word or text format. The proper extension would be .doc or .txt.

Unless the JPG is a scanned image of your resume. Then if that is the case the document will need to be recreated because that would just be a picture and the text would not be selectable or be able to be copied.

You also said that you can copy and paste your resume. That means you do have it somewhere and have access to it.

Simply copy the resume and create a new blank document in word by pressing Control - N

Then paste your resume into the new document using control V.

Now you have a nice clean new word document with your resume!

Let me know if you have any more issues Donna.

Are you trying to insert an image in a word document, or are you trying to open an image with word ?
If the former, have you tried openning the image with some other program (paint for example) and then copy and paste into the word document ?

I believe 2003 Office SP3 broke MS Jpeg compression, MS Office 2003 no longer supports jpeg compression using scanned images.

It seems you have scanned your resume saved it as a jpeg, and now cannot do anything with it in word, if this is the case, Word no longer supports compressed images as of svc Pak 3, MS deems this as a serious security flaw and finally closed the hole. I hope this helps you out and does not confuse you further. I would try and save your resume as a doc as stated above and then try again.
