Microsoft Office 2003 Not Registered Correctly

Microsoft Product ID, Microsoft Office, Office 2003

We have had a similar problem with Office 2003, the Upgrade version, several months ago. We recently bought the Full version. The Product ID is 73931-640-4339835-57976, the Registry Key is 90110409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9. The program accepts neither one in the dialog box for installation. What's the problem?!

I find it hard to believe you posted a valid key here for anyone else to use. If someone else tries it and it registers it will no longer be valid for you. I would cal Microsoft about this matter.

I agree that posting a product ID and registry key to an open discussion forum is a BAD IDEA, however the info posted will never allow you to install MS Office 2003. The installation key will be formatted as a 5 x 5 alpha numeric character string (5 groups of 5 characters each. This key can normally be found either on the CD case itself or on the documentation (not sure of where retail version keys are put…).

Without this installation key, you cannot install the software. If your purchase did NOT have the key discussed above, it may very well be pirated or grey-market. Contact Microsoft immediately for assistance.

PS - I’ve been developing PC and Mac images for various vertical markets for the past several years and have seen this issue once or twice before. Unless the error message states that the key used does not match (this is important if upgrading), you most likely have an illegal copy of the software.
