Microsoft / Dell / ASAP Negotiations

My organization's Campus Agreement with Microsoft is up soon.  For the first time we will be negotiating with Dell / ASAP, who we purhcase hardware from.  Does anyone have any insight into the relationship between Dell and Microsoft.  Dell is claiming that they pass along the licenses at cost (i.e. no profit to them), but I find this hard to believe.  Any comments on how others have successfully negotiated with these companies would be much apprecaited.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

ASAP is like all other software suppliers. There will be a certain margin that they take but it is useful to be able to work with your Dell team to manage the hardware & software under one account team. It can enable you to better leverage purchasing hardware and software bundles together rather than from different suppliers.

We use Dell & ASAP for a Microsoft Select Agreement and have been satisfied with this relationship.
