 Microsoft CRM 3.0 Installation Failure

I am currently trying to install on new CRM 3.0 SVR but near the end of the installation I’m receiving the following error: Activating SQL Server Reporting Services Failed. Setup failed to validate specified reporting services report server http://CRM/ReportServer, Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Is the SQL Server Reporting Services installed on the CRM server? Sounds like SSRS isn't setup correctly.

The installation of the SQL Reporting Services are in the process of being installed when I recieve this error?

I don’t think that CRM installes SSRS it self. I beleive that it needs to be installed and working before you install CRM. CRM should just be adding it’s reports into the existing report server.

I just installed CRM 4 and that’s the way it needed to be done.
