Check for this settings. Open Notes Client.,
Click File -> Preferences -> User Preferences.

You get a window. In that, Below Default Fonts Button, You will find this ” For trash that is not emptied at a timed interval, empty trash folder” below this there is a drop-down combo box. There select “Manually”.
