 Messages in Trash Folder being deleted automatically instead of on a timed basis

Hello, I'm using Notes R6.5.3 on a Windows 2000 machine. I set the soft delete option to 65,000 and the "For Trash that is not emptied at a timed interval..." setting to manual, but my trash folder still empties on its own.

Hi, Is this a new server install or the mail file has been upgraded from R5 to R6? Aftter how much time does your mail get deleted? Did you look on the database properties if the soft deletions are enabled? Do you use multi-language templates?

Hi.,

Check for this settings. Open Notes Client.,
Click File -> Preferences -> User Preferences.

You get a window. In that, Below Default Fonts Button, You will find this ” For trash that is not emptied at a timed interval, empty trash folder” below this there is a drop-down combo box. There select “Manually”.

Your problem should get sorted out with this. Pls check this. Awaiting your mail.
